Adjustment:
Place the helmet on your head and hold it about 1 cm above your eyebrows, in the loosest position.
Hold the peak in place and slowly turn the dial at the back of the helmet until it is snugly fitted. Turn the dial gently. Overtightening the dial while wearing the helmet can cause it to jam. If this happens, remove the helmet and loosen the dial.
Check the fit by gently pulling the peak or the front of the helmet. The skin above the eyebrows should move with the helmet if it is well-fitted. Independent movement of the helmet means the helmet is too big or the dial fastener has not been tightened sufficiently.
Because the dial fastener secures the helmet at the base of the skull (occipital ridge), full contact around the entire circumference of the helmet is not required.
The chin strap should sit just under the chin and gently touch the bottom of the earlobe, without touching the throat.
There should be a one-finger space between the chin and the strap. This space indicates how far the helmet can move in the event of an accident. When fastening the chin strap, place a finger between the strap and your chin to avoid pinching.
Loosen the dial fastener before removing the helmet. This helps prevent unnecessary strain on the dial mechanism and ensures it is properly tightened with each use.
