The covers are available in two sizes, corresponding to different girth lengths:

• For girths 40-45 cm long

• For girths 50-150 cm long

Washing instructions

To maintain the quality and breathability of the lambskin, the cover should be washed regularly, depending on the frequency of use. If used two to three times a week, washing every two weeks is recommended. When the lambskin is soaked with sweat, it should be washed immediately after use, as the ammonia in the horse's sweat can damage the material.

Because lambskin absorbs moisture very well, the cover can only be reused once it is completely dry. This ensures that its breathable function is preserved. If the cover does not have enough time to dry between rides, it is worth using several covers in rotation.

Step 1: Washing
Machine washing is recommended as it is significantly more effective than hand washing. Use a normal cycle with a spin at 30°C and select the "extra water" option, or pour approximately 3-4 liters of additional water into the detergent compartment about 10 minutes after the program starts. We recommend the special MELP detergent from Mattes, which cleans and conditions both the lambskin and the leather. Do not use fabric softener or bleach, and do not overload the washing machine.

Step 2: Drying
Remove the cover from the washing machine immediately after the cycle ends. The cover can be tumble dried on a cool setting (maximum 30°C) or air-dried in the shade. Do not expose the cover to heat sources (such as radiators) or direct sunlight.

Storage

Do not store the cover in a plastic bag. Keep it in a dry, shaded place. If the cover will not be used for a long time, wash it first and ensure it is completely dry before putting it away. We recommend using a moth repellent during storage.
